Scores are a planning guide from 2025–2026 seasonal data (shortform.com, pickyourtrail.com, holidify.com, pattayaunlimited.com). Weather varies year to year.
Each month is scored 1–5 for weather, value (how cheap) and quietness (how few crowds). When you pick a priority, we weight those scores toward what you care about and re-rank all twelve months.
"Balanced" leans slightly toward good weather; the others heavily favour weather, value or empty beaches.
November to February — cool, dry, 25–32°C. December–January have the best weather but the biggest crowds; November and February are sweet spots for great weather with fewer people.
Roughly June to October, heaviest in September–October. It's often short afternoon downpours, and brings the cheapest prices and quietest beaches.
The low/green season, June–October — best hotel deals and fewest crowds, with more rain as the trade-off.
March–May is the hot season, ~34–36°C with high humidity. April is hottest and hosts the Songkran water festival.
